This is my custom review of the Vizio gv47lf LCD HD Digital TV set that I purchased only a few months ago. For me it was an impulse purchase, since I was at a local box type store when I noticed a huge display advertising a ridiculously low price on this 47 inch unit. About 10 feet away was a different TV set, made by another manufacturer that was DOUBLE the selling price of the Vizio. Upon further inspection of the posted features and specifications, I realized that the Vizio was a phenomenal deal. The only hard thing about it was I then had to convince my wife that we needed this and needed it now.

After about 20 minutes of discussing the finer points of digital television, and basically bartering away all of my free time on the next 350 weekends, which will free me up to do numerous household chores, including lots of yard work that has been put off for the last 6 or 7 years, I was finally able to purchase it. As soon as I placed it inside the forklift type cart in the store, I felt like a child running to the Christmas tree on Christmas morning. Once I left the store and discovered it was raining I turned into the mother who is paranoid and constantly feels she is protecting her newborn, because I worried we’d get a drop of rain on my new Vizio gv47lf… all while my wife got drenched.

After avoiding law enforcement, and driving home way too fast for current conditions, I quickly unloaded the TV, ran inside and hooked her up. I was able to install the Vizio gv42l in a minute flat. The picture and sound blew me away. I would give it a 9 out of 10 overall with the only con being my back is sore from all the landscaping work I now do. I know what your wondering, and yes it was worth it.
