Vizio Plasma TV vs. Cheap LCD

You may be experiencing a bit of sticker shock when you go to the electronics store in search of a new television. TV prices have skyrocketed in the last few years due in no small part to the new technology that has been introduced into the television marketplace. Flat panels are a relatively new commodity item and have not had the same amount of time as CRT monitors to reach a universally attractive price point. It is simple manufacturing economics; the longer an item is on the market the longer the manufacturer has to streamline and economize the manufacturing process and thus bring prices down. It’s not that manufacturers are going out of their way to gouge consumers, rather it is just that they have not had enough time to let technology catch-up to the manufacturing processes and bring costs down.
