Finally, a Vizio p50HDTV10a

I was fortunate enough to receive the blessing of my wife and family to put off our weekend vacation and instead upgrade the TV set we all use everyday in the living room. We decided, as a family, to splurge and get the largest set that our family felt we could afford. In happened to be the 50 inch LCD model made by Vizio (Vizio p50HDTV10a )that contained more features then we will probably ever use in mine or my children’s lives. A stellar feature that sealed the deal so to speak was the wide variety of color quality. Not only does it have a special color feature developed by Vizio called color vision, the amount of colors it can display is just unreal.

This TV set can display 6,144 shades of gray in 231 Billion colors for a brilliant, colorful picture.

The ease of use was just great. I was able to set it up and tune it to display all of the channels we subscribe to with DirecTV in about 2 minutes. The clock setting menu was a snap, along with setting the default video display resolution section. We decided that letterbox was the perfect fit. I did have a little trouble programming the remote control codes so it would communicate with the DVD player- turned out it was my DVD player though and not the Vizio p50HDTV10a

Overall I would give this unit a 9 out of 10 ranking. The only cons I could find were the setting up of the remote control, which, like I said was my own fault (should have got a new DVD player). I’m sure a younger user could have done it in a snap, while it takes me a few minutes to troubleshoot. Finally, my family made a unanimous choice that everyone was pleased with from start to finish and we all enjoy it each time we turn it on. I feel confident, along with my family in honestly recommending the Vizio gv47lf to others. In the end it was worth pushing off our mini vacation for a couple more months.
